Asus router lan not downloading 20mb files to android

Upon seeing edgewater 's post above, I revisited the issue. I checked my Cisco router's QoS setting. It was OFF. Check box empty. Something is going on here. View solution in original post. LaraBeagle , good find. I have a codau modem and an asus ac86u router, around a month or two ago i noticed my speeds were cut to around mbps. I chatted with rogers and they suggested its my router, sure enough after turning off bridge mode and using just rogers' modem my speeds were back to mbps.

Today i bought an identical router and the speeds are still hovering around mbps. What gives, is rogers neutering bridge mode or something? I tried disabling qos many times and its still slow, on a new router qos is off anyway so i didn't even have time to enable it after i turned it on. The weird thing is everything was working fine with qos for over a year, not sure why this issue popped up. Please keep us posted.

I'm sure Datalink may have more ideas on this subject. In just a few moments, your Wi-Fi connection is made! Take full command of your network by controlling who can access the internet, and allocating the bandwidth for each device.

Well they tend to be consistent with if I have my computer connected to the router or directly to the modem, the speeds anyway.

Lower speeds while on the router on multiple tests, while the higher speeds directly connected to the modem on multiple tests. QoS is off by default. If you are still not getting the faster speeds via the router, try a different router.

Joined Jun 12, Messages 12, Have you tried different cables between the router and the modem? Are you running firmware 3. The firmware is version. I tested another 68u and the result is the same.

When I connected other NAS to my router, it. So it is weird. I am just throwing out some ideas … I have never had a problem, well actually once and I did a factory default restore on my Asus RT-AC68P and started over, and that seemed to solve my issue. I use AiCloud, have a portable HD drive attached to router, never have needed to use QOS, since home network and internet is lightening fast with lots of bandwidth here.

I will throw out the suggestion that it is RF interference causing the issue. Example, when I was setting up my WD wireless passport, I was having a devil of a time getting it to use a certain wireless channel. In the past few days someone posted same issue with his drive connected to his Surface pad.

Tony and I ,and both came up with RF interference, and Tony also came up with an Intel white paper explaining this as a big problem in many instances.
